No one uses better briar than Claudio
Cavicchi. Rarely does he make a pipe worthy of the Diamonte rating.
We will get at the most two a year. I have sold Cavicchi pipes since
1984 and have seen some fantastic Diamontes. This incredible bent
Dublin has the best grain I ever saw. I am doubtful that I ever saw a
pipe made by any one at any price with grain this good.
As
you look at the top of the bowl you will not believe the microscopic birds
eyes. It is perfect!
It will not matter which side that you look
at because they both are perfect. The grain follows the shape in both
the bowl and shank. The bottom f the bowl is all birds eyes. The
grain on the front and rear are not quite as tight as the sides but are
still excellent.
I have looked the pipe over and not found the
first sandpit. This pipe simply has no peers. 5.5 x 2-1/8
inches.
