Design Berlin

Hubert Hartmann began Design Berlin in 1948 as the first pipe production company approved by the Allies after the Second World War. Lothar Schriwitz joined the company in 1954. With Schriwitz’s quality control, Design Berlin made significant quality improvements into the current production model. While the company has been sold a couple times, they retain production in the same factories and produce around 30,000 pipes a year.
