Peter Heinrich's Special Curly begins with mature, tangy Virginias and adds a dash of Perique. Then, the mixture is spun into a twist flake and cut into coins. The body remains at the mild level while the flavor stretches to a medium rank. A very natural room note emerges from this unflavored tobacco blend. Bring home a tin of this elegant, smooth Virginia/Perique for an enjoyable evening smoke.
We received a new shipment of Heinrich's the other day, so I popped a tin and packed a bowl. The smell of figs was the first thing I noticed, and the citrus from the Virginias hit me from the first light. I didn't notice much of the spice from the Perique though. It seems to be more of a background player. I'd recommend this though to anyone looking for what Golden Virginias should taste like.
