Bagpiper's Dream is a European-style offering with a cognac topping. Virginia lays the groundwork for this blend offering a dry smoke, and the light touch on the Cavendishes adds a pleasant room note and complimentary sweetness. Expect a mild body and a medium-level in the flavor category.
The first thing I noticed here was the tobacco-feel of this blend. Lots of aromatics have this goopy feel but not Bagpipers Dream. The tobacco feels like a non-aromatic, and it burns as smoothly too. I didn't have to relit much even while talking around the shop. The grassy Virginias shine throughout the bowl while the Cognac's sweetness is every present in a subtle way. I can't overlook the cognac, but it didn't cloy to my palate.
